Two industry awards for Reading Buses
We are over the moon to announce our client Reading Buses has won two fantastic industry titles at the routeONE awards, which recognise success and excellence in the coach and bus operator sector.
Reading Buses was named as a finalist in two categories at the awards thanks to nominations from REACT Technologies Managing Director, Russell Gard.
As a result, Managing Director Martijn Gilbert, won the Manager or the Year category and John Bickerton took the Engineer of the Year award home at the event in Birmingham.
Russell Gard, Managing Director at REACT Technologies, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to work with Reading Buses on this exciting new project.
“imedia is such a flexible product, so it was possible for our team to tailor the displays to the precise requirements of the Reading Buses fleet. We really pushed the boundaries on this one, because some of the displays have never been installed in this way before, it’s an industry first.
“We were so impressed with the team’s commitment to excellence, we nominated Martijn and John in a number of categories at the routeONE awards. We’re thrilled that their hard work has been recognised with two wins.”
We recently worked with Reading Buses to install a bespoke imedia system in a new fleet and the project includes an industry leading display system that also went on show at the Eurobus conference this week.
The government intends to make this type of display mandatory in new bus fleets, so it’s great to be ahead of the game with the kit fitted at the design and build stage in this way.
The routeONE awards support, celebrate and reward bus operators who have exceeded expectations and delivered high quality services for passengers across the UK.
A panel of five industry experts was tasked with identifying the winners of the 2016 awards from a record-breaking number of entries.
